Summary: For myself, and all of the addicted night owls out there. My first sonnet.

Sitting in the dark, the girl barely stirred
As night grew on, shadows in every color and shape
danced around the room and made themselves heard
Oblivious, she was lost in her great escape

She never knew when was the right time to stop
Bitter coldness nipping at every part of her skin
Shadows continued dancing, rising to the ceiling top
Shadows versus girl; shadows sure to sneak a win

Timely Time mourned for the girl’s pitiful waste
Old and wise Time knew of her unpleasant fate
For reality will be what she must willingly face
Even so she seemed stuck in her unmindful state

No matter, for she was glued to the glowing screen
As the dancing horrors continued to be unseen
