Summary: Ever stood watching a slow dance, and felt so alone?

Darkness fills the room.
The music slowly fills the air.
I take a step towards the sidelines,
And watch the others dance.
Soft touches, and close faces.
Each couple gently touching.
The delight in their smiles.
All problems are simply forgotten.
Each couple caught in their own moment.
Meanwhile I only stand and watch.
The loners stand at the sides.
Each hoping for a memorable dance.
Each hoping that someday…
They can find their own romance.
Tears flood my eyes…
As I realize I’m alone.
