Long Forgotten
Summary: Behind a shadow, hidden in the dark. I’m sitting and waiting… I know you forgot.
Note: Although this poem seems like I have written it out of love or a boyfriend or something, it’s actually really to my brother. I’m so very disappointed in him. I was sitting there…just waiting for him today. That was when I pulled out a peice of paper and started writing.

Behind a shadow, hidden in the dark.
I’m sitting and waiting…
I know you forgot.
It isn’t a surprise; I’m always forgotten.
Sitting here and shaking, I feel like crying.
I’m forgotten by many, but now you too?
The skies are dim and my heart feels a tingle.
Not that of love, but that of a sharp, hurting sting.
Friends all desert me for something much better.
My best friend…too caught up in her infatuation.
I guess it’s your turn to forget me too.
Why do I do this to myself…
Believe and have faith in others,
While in reality, they’re really not there.
They’re just an illusion caught in a web of my despair.
My hope has lost its way and I have given up.
I’m tired of waiting and my soul is sore.
I will wait for you no more.
