Time is passing by quickly.
I know it’s coming near.
I’m scared to know what happens next.
I’m scared to grow up.
There’s a big ladder waiting for me to climb.
I don’t want to go…is the so much of a crime?

Every step you pass by, you go up higher.
Every step you take, it gets harder to climb.
Every step you achieve, it’s getting harder to breathe.
My heart beats faster and I don’t want to look down.
But…I don’t want to look up either.

Can’t I stay here, frozen in time?
How nice it would be nice to stay here forever.
You wouldn’t have to worry about going up.
You wouldn’t have to worry about going down.
You wouldn’t have to worry about falling or losing your grip.
Just stay still and everything will be fine.

Too bad for that wish.
It’s never coming true.
Life goes on and the climb must continue.
Take one step at a time and don’t you worry.
We all are trying to climb this impossible ladder.
This ladder…it towers high into the sky.
When we will get to the top…we may never know.

The air…it’s getting light.
It’s getting harder to breathe.
Just take deep breaths, we’ll make it through.
They say we’ll never make it.
But it’s okay, we’ll stay happy and keep on singing our lovely song.
We’ll reach the clouds someday; we’ll prove them wrong.
